About

Welcome traveler to the Text Remix Project.

What does it take to write a good book? What does it take to write a good story, a good paragraph or even a good sentence? A lot of things really, but the most basic of said things is a word. You'll need several words actually. Many words.

Thinking of the right words can get tricky as your friend Writer's Block can tell you. But what if someone already gave you the words to do your thing?

The Text Remix Project does just that by treating words as tools, and proposes the following exercise in creativity: If given a set of words used successfully by someone in the past, could you do better? Imagine if you will if someone gave you the exact colors  in the exact quantities) which Leonardo da Vinci used to paint the Mona Lisa, what would you come up with?  It's like that but with words instead.

It works with letters too.
